Honestly, these are very dumb "urban farmers", are they not? If you are going to call in a burglary, shouldn't they hide the illegal stuff?

UPPER DARBY - Police responding to a report of an interrupted burglary on Friday afternoon discovered a marijuana growing operation along with a trove of weapons, police uniforms and identification badges in a quiet Upper Darby neighborhood.

Police arrested and charged the homeowner, Edward D. Hatton, 43, and his wife, Debra Hatton, 52, of the 100 block of Maplewood Avenue with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and related drug offenses. Upper Darby police have been in contact with the FBI and other police departments in Philadelphia and Delaware County and additional charges are expected to be filed....Police say the house is located in a nice neighborhood of single family homes and they have no record of complaints from neighbors regarding the house. "They have a nice home, very well landscaped," Rhoades said. "And the basement was well landscaped also, except it was landscaped in marijuana."...."Hatton is a truck driver. He works for the Public Works Department in Haverford Township," Chitwood said. The Haverford Township website lists Edward Hatton as Animal Control Officer.
